JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The number of jobs for automotive service technicians is projected to steadily grow in the next ten years. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that the median annual salary of an automotive mechanic was $37,850 in 2015, which amounts to $18.20 per hour. According to SimplyHired.com, the average annual income for an A.S.E.-certified master technician is $45,000. At the height of their careers, some master automotive mechanics can expect to make twice that much.
